For the cancellation of your WAPDA connection, you can follow these steps.

  • Apply to have the Wapda connection disconnected. The application is available online or in person at the Wapda office. The following information should be included in the application:
  •  The applicant’s name
  • The account number
  • Location of the premises
  • Location of the premises
  • You must pay the disconnection cost. The MEPCO Electricity disconnection charge is due when you discontinue your service. The cancellation cost varies based on the cause of the cancellation. The price for non-payment of bills, for example, is larger than the fee for relocating to new premises.
  • Receive a letter of confirmation. Wapda will send you a confirmation letter once you have paid the disconnection cost. The letter will certify that your service has been terminated and that you are no longer obligated to pay any outstanding payments.

  • Tap the “New Connection/Disconnection Application” button.
  • Choose “Disconnection Application” from the drop-down menu.

  • Fill out the application for disconnection.
  • Attach any relevant papers, such as a copy of your ID and evidence of property ownership.
  • Press the “Submit” button.

Your connection will be cancelled within 15 days of receiving the confirmation letter. Please note that you must pay all outstanding bills before your connection can be cancelled.

Disconnection type 

Electricity disconnection can be of two types:

  • Temporary disconnection 
  • Permanently disconnection

Temporary Disconnection 

On consumer request, he will be granted a temporary disconnection of his electricity supply for any particular reason. Still, this disconnection is only for the suggested period of 11 months, adhering to the following criteria. 

  • It must be kept in mind that the willing consumer must clear all his previous bills till the date when his temporary disconnection started. 
  • The concession for not paying the Bills is only valid for the disconnection period. After that, you need to pay your bills punctually.

  • If a consumer wants to reconnect his electricity within seven days, then he is not required to pay any amount for re-connection. 

Permanent disconnection

Consumers who wish to discontinue energy supply services permanently must apply for the relevant Load Sanctioning Officer. After receiving the newest bill and power dues from the client, he obtains the Revenue Officer’s electricity bill payment data and executes a disconnection order. The consumer is not accountable for any misuse of power through that connection after it has been permanently disconnected.

Reconnecting your Electricity after Disconnection

The consumer must submit an application to the AMO/AMCS office for reconnection of the power supply.

The following are the Minimum/Fixed Reconnection Charges that apply to electricity consumers:

· Industrial Supply Tariff B-I, B-II, B-III, B-IV· Agricultural connections (tube wells and irrigation pumps)· For Flat Rate Tariff D-I– If the period of disconnection is up to ninety days, minimum/fixed charges for the actual duration apply.– For above 90 to 3 years disconnection duration, the fixed charges will be as a month for each quarter along with the minimum fee of 90 days.– For the above 3-year period, the fixed/minimum charges shall apply as one month per year along with the amount discussed in the above two points.

Electricity Reconnection Fees and Security Deposit

According to the MEPCO rules and policies, they charge the following fees for electricity reconnection for disconnecting it.

Reconnection Security deposit 

The following factors determine MEPCO’s reconnection security deposit:

  •   If the customer has any outstanding arrears.
  •  How long has the consumer’s connection been down?

If the client has no outstanding arrears and their connection has been disconnected for less than 365 days, no additional security deposit will be charged. If the customer owes money or their connection has been disconnected for more than 365 days, they will be assessed a security deposit at the current rate.
